Manila, Philippines – 6 May 2021 – Prime Metro BMD Corporation (PrimeBMD) bagged a Gold Stevie® Award at the eighth annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for its corporate response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The award highlights PrimeBMD’s role and significant contributions to the national COVID-19 preparedness and response strategy. It won gold in the category Most Valuable Corporate Response, which “recognizes exemplary responses by companies to the pandemic to ensure the well-being of their employees, customers, and communities.”
PrimeBMD is among the private sector groups that was first to assist the national government in its COVID response efforts. In early 2020, PrimeBMD transformed several facilities into field hospitals and converted event centers and medical facilities into mega swabbing centers in support of the government’s detection and isolation strategies. It built a total of nine facilities, including the largest mega quarantine center in Manila.
“As we continue to come to terms with the impact of this global health crisis, we strive to provide support in the best way that we can to help our country and the Filipino people in overcoming this pandemic,” said PrimeBMD Chief Executive Officer Jocot de Dios. “This award reflects our ability to mobilize our team quickly and efficiently and our commitment to deliver crucial projects on time and provide certainty through consistent performance and collaboration.”
The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are the only business awards program to recognize innovation in the workplace in all 29 nations of the Asia-Pacific region. The Stevie Awards are widely considered to be the world’s premier business awards, conferring recognition for achievement in programs such as The International Business Awards® for 19 years.
More than 900 nominations from organizations across the Asia-Pacific region were considered this year in categories such as Award for Excellence in Innovation in Products & Services, Award for Innovative Management, and Award for Innovation in Corporate Websites, among many others. PrimeBMD won in the Most Valuable Corporate Response category.
“The eighth edition of the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards attracted many remarkable nominations,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher. “The organizations that won this year have demonstrated that they have continued to innovate and succeed despite the COVID-19 pandemic, and we applaud them for their perseverance and creativity.”
The winners for 2021 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards will be celebrated during a virtual awards ceremony on July 14.
