New CEO to oversee Prime BMD’s next expansion phase

Infrastructure development company Prime Metro BMD Corporation (Prime BMD) moves to its next phase of expansion with the appointment of Sebastian “Basti” Lacson as its new Chief Executive Office

Prime BMD is a joint venture between Prime Infrastructure Holdings, Inc. (Prime Infra), the infrastructure arm of the Razon group focused on providing reliable, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure to build better lives and resilient economies, and BMD Group, one of Australia’s largest privately-owned construction companies.

“Construction is a frontliner in our country’s march to progress. I’m very pleased to participate in nation-building in a major way through Prime BMD,” said Lacson.

He takes on the role vacated by J.V. Emmanuel “Jocot” De Dios, who has been tasked to head Manila Water Company, Inc., also part of Prime Infra’s portfolio of companies.

Lacson, who has extensive experience in the power sector, will continue to lead the waste-to-fuel project of Prime Infra.

The Prime BMD Board of Directors also elevated Mick Slocombe, who previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), to Executive Vice President for Engineering as well as a member of the board operations committee to focus on strategic and material operational matters affecting the business.

Hans Christian Lopez, deputy project director of WawaJVCo, moved to Prime BMD, assuming the role of Prime BMD COO.

Prime BMD’s expertise includes the construction of roads and bridges, marine infrastructure and dredging services, airport infrastructure, building works, water and wastewater infrastructure, rail infrastructure, and commercial/residential land subdivision projects.
