Prime BMD now ISO-certified
Prime Metro BMD Corporation (Prime BMD) earned three ISO certifications after its successful fulfillment of the requirements under the international standards for Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015), and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001:2018).
Last September 27 to October 1, Prime BMD underwent an extensive company-wide audit and assessment process covering its corporate office in Pasay City and ongoing projects in Quezon City; Antipolo, Rizal and Porac, Pampanga.
Certified by TÜV SÜD PSB Philippines Inc., the accreditation reaffirms Prime BMD’s strong commitment and adherence to quality management, environmental, and health and safety systems that enable the company to consistently deliver projects to the highest international standards.
“Developing efficient policies, procedures, processes, and workflows has been critical in delivering our projects. We work hard to develop robust management systems that drive continuous improvement across all areas of the business,” said Sebastian Lacson, CEO of Prime BMD.
From the outset, Prime BMD has been working on strengthening its approach to management systems to guide the successful execution and delivery of the projects—regardless of size and complexity. Designed to create an integrated approach to cost, time, quality, health and safety, and environmental management, the system provides the necessary plans, procedures, training, and reporting systems to assist the teams in delivering projects based on industry best practice and in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Prime BMD has also been working on continuously improving workplace health and safety standards. Through its commitment to Zero Harm, Prime BMD ensures that every person who plays a role in the business remains safe and in good health. This, along with the consistent effort to help reduce environmental impacts and become more sustainable, have always been the company’s key priorities.
Noting on the ISO certification, Mick Slocombe, Executive Vice President for Engineering of Prime BMD, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for everyone in the team because we were all behind it. Each function, within the business, has supported the success of this initiative. This is just the beginning of our ISO journey, and we will continue our efforts to maintain these qualifications and support the ongoing compliance efforts.”
“This certification serves as a reflection of our efforts to integrate efficient and quality systems across all platforms within project delivery, and a testament to the commitment and dedication of our people who helped make this happen,” Lacson added.
