About the project

PrimeBMD was engaged as the general contractor for the design and construction for the upgrade, expansion, and refurbishment of the existing Phase 1 and Phase 1A Sewage Treatment Plants in Solaire Resort and Casino. The upgraded STPs adopted the Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) nitrification-denitrification activated sludge technology and were designed to provide total treatment capacity of 1,200 m3/day for Phase 1 and 2, 180 m3/day for Phase 1A, respectively.

Project scope

Refurbishment and upgrading of existing Phase 1 STP including replacement of existing material, fittings and equipment as required

Installation of a fully independently operated package STP complete with local control panel, pumps and blowers

Provision of screw press system for sludge dewatering

Updating of control logic and return of the existing Phase 1 & 1A STP’s to automatic operation

Repairing of SBR aeration system in Phase 1A STP

Installation of a Phase 1A expansion STP system comprising of rotary bar screens; fabricated and coated mild steel equalization tanks & SBR basins; Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit activated carbon filter odor control system; sludge dewatering screw press with polymer dosing system and ventilation system
